Apparel Design

After a decade of riding mountain bikes, I moved to Dyfi Valley in Wales in 2021, where I lived for a year. Inspired by the stunning surroundings, incredible mountain bike tracks and the community around Dyfi Bike Park, I started sketching and created my first apparel illustration — the Cedar design. Since then, I have worked on many exciting projects helping clients to encapsulate the essence of their brand through clothing. My artistic approach is symbolic, drawing inspiration from the unique qualities of each brand or location to create bespoke artwork that riders love to wear.

10 Years of RedBull Hardline - event apparel

CLIENT: RedBull

The RedBull Hardline event, held annually in mid Wales, is renowned as one of the most demanding mountain bike races globally. The illustration celebrates a decade of the event by representing the number 10 as a dynamic visual journey of the entire Hardline track. Starting from the top of the track, the perspective shifts gradually as the viewer follows the intricate details and features of the course.

This shifting perspective symbolises the various viewpoints associated with the event, such as that of the rider navigating the course and the spectator witnessing the action from different angles.

Lucky Dip - T-shirt

CLIENT: Veronique Sandler

The design illustrates the mountain bike track used for the Evolve Women’s event in mid Wales, UK. The typography takes inspiration from the layout of the jumps, nestled among an ancient tree.

Locals - T-shirt

CLIENT: Dyfi Bike Park

Created in a linocut style, the design features various local landmarks: the Machynlleth clock tower, Dyfi Bike Park's ridge line mountain, the cedar tree holding up the bike park's cafe roof, and the Dyfi forest.

CAD - Hoodie

CLIENT: Atherton Bikes

Taking inspiration from CAD drawings and referencing the 3D printing process of Atherton Bikes' components, the design highlights the letter ‘A’ and emerging from a low-poly, digital landscape.

The Woods Morzine - T-shirt

CLIENT: The Woods

The illustration features the picturesque French town Morzine, situated in the heart of the Portes du Soleil. Designed for The Woods, a bike and ski shop, the illustration integrates their logo amidst the Alpine landscape.

Communi-tee - T-shirt & Hoodie

 CLIENT: Helfare

In a retro-nostalgic style, the illustration portrays an escape to the wilderness and camping out on the night before a day of riding. With a camp fire under the bright stars, a mountain range in the background, a bike and a tent, it pictures a pure sense of freedom and reminds us all of friends, family, good times, and the good vibes on the trails.

40 World Cup Wins - Rachel Atherton

CLIENT: Atherton Bikes

Limited edition designs to celebrate Rachel Atherton’s 40 World Cup and 5 World Championship wins. Rachel's determination to return to Downhill Mountain Bike racing after having baby Arna is a true inspiration, winning her 40th World Cup as a mum. To visualise Rachel's achievements as the queen of downhill racing and a role model for mothers, I illustrated 40 crowns, with the final crown placed on top of a pram.

Dyfi Cedar - Long Sleeve T-shirt

CLIENT: Dyfi Bike Park

This illustrative map is inspired by the cross section of the cedar tree beam supporting the cafe and shop area. The dense, seamlessly connected linework reflects the easy-flowing bike park trails and its iconic features.
